Transforming waste and residues to fuel

By transforming low value residues and waste products into a renewable biocrude, we can produce sustainable fuels and chemicals, helping to transition to a lower carbon future. When transforming biomass Licella™ exclusively uses non-edible crops and agricultural residues and trash which does not compete with crops or land used for food.

Through our global joint-venture with Armstrong Chemicals, we are diverting End-of-Life Plastic from landfill, creating new products, as well as reducing waste in the process. We are also helping to alleviate the burden of plastics on our oceans which is becoming an increasingly alarming global issue.

Within the pulp and paper industry, through a joint-venture with Canfor Pulp, where we will integrate Licella’s Cat-HTR™ platform into existing mill infrastructure, transforming residue streams into biofuels and renewable chemicals.

Embracing water as the agent of change

In the case of biomass, the Cat-HTR™ process is a net producer of water. By utilising the water within the biomass as part of the chemical transformation process, there is no need to add water with the Cat-HTR™ process.
